Petition to Stop Registering FCI WSS as AKC GSDs

White Swiss Shepherds are not a recognized breed by the American Kennel Club (AKC), which is the largest all breed registry in the US. Some time ago, a decision was made to accept FCI White Swiss Shepherd foreign registration papers to register dogs as AKC German Shepherd Dogs. WHITE SWISS WORLD, and the American WSS breed clubs look down upon registering FCI WSS as AKC GSDs, but ultimately, the option being there at all harms the effort of gaining AKC recognition for the White Swiss Shepherd as a unique and independent breed. The FCI WSS has been bred to Standard No. 347, and as such, it does not meet the GSD breed standard and should not be registered as a GSD. By default, FCI WSS are white colored and thus would be Disqualified from participating in shows as a GSD. For these reasons, we are asking that you take a moment to sign the petition to stop registering FCI WSS as AKC GSDs.
